Consignment 411

Are you new to consigning with JhettSet Closet? Need a refresher? Here’s how we determine what we accept:

Are your items ready to sell? All items are entered in our system and taken directly out to our sales floor. Due to our process, it’s very important that items are in ready to sell condition. We typically suggest that you give each item a “once over” prior to bringing it in. Check for stains, holes, pet hair, odors and overall wear. Items must be in like-new condition!

Are your items on trend? Labels must be of current style, purchased within the past 3 years. We’re very focused on creating a fun, boutique-like shopping experience at JhettSet Closet! We look for trendy, classic styles. Designers/brands that are no longer in production will not be accepted.

What’s on trend? Great resources to check out are department store websites, fashion magazines and Pinterest!

How will you price my item?

We will follow our pricing guidelines for JhettSet Closet inventory. We typically price items around 1/3 of their current retail value, a standard in our industry. Our primary goal as a consignment boutique is to provide on trend pieces at an affordable price while giving our consignors an opportunity to make some extra cash! Please see our Consignment Guidelines regarding consignor payouts. JhettSet Closet determines pricing for all items in our shop. If you are able to provide information about original cost/designer or would like to discuss our pricing, please do not hesitate to mention this to our consignment team.
Is it a label/designer we accept? We accept lots of great name brand/designer labels at our shop! However, there are a few labels that we cannot price competitively and there are certain labels/brands that do not sell in our shop. Those labels are:

Faded Glory, No Boundaries, Jaclyn Smith, George, White Stag, Nicki Minaj, Basic Editions, Circo, Jumping Beans, HealthTex, Alfred Dunner, Bon Worth, JG Hook, etc.

We track our inventory closely, if a particular brand/designer is consistently in our clearance department, we will make adjustments to the list above. Please do not be offended if we are unable to accept a certain brand, we are simply tracking what our customers buy!
