The Consignment Process
Consignors may bring in up to 25 items per day. Walk-in consignments are accepted Tuesday - Friday. Saturday consignments are by appointment only, please call 717-533-5555 to schedule. New consignors must have a valid driver’s license or government issued ID in order to open a consignment account.
All items must be in ready to sell condition. Free of marks, tears, odors or pet hair. Items must be freshly laundered and wrinkle free on hangers or in shopping bags. Items must be of current style, purchased within the past 3 years and of the current season. We will return all hangers and shopping bags. We accept junior’s, women’s clothing and accessories.
Luxury items MUST be authentic. Luxury items will be authenticated by our in-house consignment team or a 3rd party authenticator. Original purchasing receipts and tags are preferred. Attempts to consign counterfeit items may result in the deletion of your consignment account.
We keep items on consignment for 60 days, unless otherwise noted on receipt. Items will go through a markdown process and are subject to JhettSet Closet, LLC sales, coupons and discounts. JhettSet Closet, LLC determines the price of each item. Items can be sold in store or online. You will receive 40% of the asking price, unless otherwise noted on the receipt. There is a handling fee added to all merchandise that is paid for by the purchasing customer. Consignor profit does not include handling fees or sales tax collected.
Pick Up Process/Unsold Items
Items are available for pick up on or before your consignment expiration date. It is the consignor’s responsibility to track all expiration dates. Please note that withdrawing items more than a week before your 60 day consignment period ends may result in the deletion of your account. If you do not pick up your unsold items on or before your expiration date they will become property of JhettSet Closet, LLC and can be resold, sent to clearance or sell as an expired ticket, in which all profits will go to JhettSet Closet, LLC. Unsold items may also be donated to non-profit charities. You may request a tax receipt in January for anything we donated on your behalf. If you choose to pick up your unsold items, it is the consignors responsibility to locate those items on our sales floor during specific pick up hours only. We will provide a detailed list and description of each item. Please allow yourself enough time to do so!
We will not provide assistance or pick lists for any items that are past their 60 day expiration date, as these items become store property once your consignment period expires. If you want to reclaim your items and you are unable to return to the shop prior to your expiration date, you may send someone to reclaim your items on your behalf. They must have your JhettSet Closet Consignment Boutique account card and will need to follow our standard pick up process outlined above.
Payouts
You may pick up money any time during regular scheduled business hours. We pay you in cash or by check if you aren’t local.
